Forest Ludwig Garrison was born & raised in Shickshinny PA.  A large sum of money was  bequeathed to the town of Shickshinny upon his death in 1938. It was with this money that the FL Garrison Memorial came to be.
    The school served as the Shickshinny High School until the completion of the Northwest Area High School in 1956.
    That same year, the FL Garrison Memorial School began serving the areas children as an Elementary school,  until it was finally closed in 2009.

    On the DVD you can watch the 2006-2007 graduates of Garrison Elementry school honor 50 years of elementary education and 35 years of the Parent Teacher Association. This DVD also functions as a  video yearbook for the elementary 6th grade class of 2007.
